ABOUT MIKROWAVE
Manchester based Mikrowave was started in 2005 by Kevin Gorman. The label has become a platform for established artists and remixers worldwide, including Marcel Dettmann, Peter Van Hoesen, MLZ, Perc, John Selway, Alex Under, Mark Broom, Phil Kieran and more. In 2008, Kevin released a live recording of his performance of 'SevenEightNine' at Berlin's infamous Berghain club.
The ethos of Mikrowave is to release music that is individual, electronic and abstract, with a strong purpose on the dancefloor. Vinyl has been important from the start, with an emphasis on mastering and quality of sound, with stark and simple artwork. Digital releases have been included since the label's inception, but it's with 2009's Elements series that full advantage has been taken of the medium, releasing multiple edits and tools for digital DJs and all the component sounds for producers. |

ABOUT ELEMENTS
From March to June 2009, Mikrowave released Elements.
Made in 3 parts, each installment included all the parts of the music alongside the original tracks. Also, numerous DJ tools, edits and bonus beats.
The idea behind the series was to release music in an innovative and useful way. To take advantage of the digital medium and create singles that were not possible in the vinyl age. This way, giving performers and producers greater control over the way they can use and manipulate the music. All the original tracks were by Kevin Gorman, with remixes released at a later date.
